Fine quality large mahogany free standing desk attributed to Maple & Co.
the inverted breakfront top with cross banding and satinwood inlay has a burgundy tooled leather writing surface, seven drawers with crossbanding and inlay detail, lovely brass handles and are all locked by the central drawer mechanism, raised on square tapering legs fitted with brass castors.
with normal marks, scuffs etc commensurate with age and use, this super quality, handsome desk is in overall very good sound condition, the polished back allowing it to be free standing in any position , it does really need to be seen to be fully appreciated.
