The Pinecone pattern is rare on Liverpool porcelain.

Maurice Hillis’s book ‘Liverpool Porcelain’, illustrates another tankard very similar to this, and identifies it as John Pennington’s factory, circa 1775-80

Blue underglaze, Pinecone pattern.
