Splendid large late Georgian mahogany serving sideboard c.1820. Bow fronted top with a raised shelf at the back retaining the original brass rail (quite a rare feature) with lovely urn shaped finials. Over a single long centre drawer flanked with a hinged cupboard door to the left and a deep bottle drawer to the right hand side. Note also the small cupboard in the right hand end. Well figured mahogany veneers, crossbanded edges, extensive inlaid boxwood stringing across the front and shield shaped escutcheons. Original brass knobs and a fine inlaid parquetry detail around the edge of the raised centre panel to the front of the long drawer. Tapering square legs also with inlaid and crossbanded detail. Excellent condition and good original colour. Simply cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied for the cupboard door.
