Unusually large early 19th.c. elm stool c.1820. Big enough to use as a side table, with a 24″ x 16½” top made from a single 2″ thick elm board of lovely colour and grain with a nicely shaped hand grip at the centre. On a simple base with tapering square legs, flared for stability and joined with an H stretcher. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
