We have for sale the perfect Valantine's gift, a rather lovely Edwardian large ornate silver heart shaped locket.

This chunky and very striking heart shaped silver locket consists of a large body richly decorated with rococo foliage around a vacant cartouche with the body extending to a silver cherub. Opening the locket reveals a gilded interior, the makers marks for Theodor Hartmann, London import marks for 1902 and the makers marks for Karl Kurz of Hanau-Kesselstadt, Germany. The front of the upper half of the locket also caries London import marks for London 1902. Theodore Hartmann was the main UK import agent for the Karl Kurz.

This large and heavy silver locket weighs 28.7g and is 2.4 inches (6cm long), 12.cm (3cm) wide and 0.8 inches (2cm) deep. The locket is in a very good antique condition other than the slight surface wear one would expect from a piece of well loved antique antique jewellery of this period.
