A superb fully hallmarked gold locket which was assayed (tested for gold purity) at Chester Assay Office in 1912.

This large solid gold antique is intricately ornamented and conveys the most charming sentiments.

The cartouche is fashioned to resemble a scroll.

Peonies, forget-me-not flowers, ivy, acanthus and ferns grace this wonderful keepsake pendant.

Scrolls signify wisdom.

Peonies symbolise love, romance, prosperity and good fortune.

Forget-me-not flowers represent deep love and respect.

Ivy leaves symbolise everlasting love, fidelity and deep friendship.

Acanthus leaves represent enduring life.

Ferns convey sincerity.

This impressive locket is fitted with the original frames, liners and clear portrait protectors.

The hinges and catches work perfectly.

The rolo chain necklace measures 18 inches long.

This locket will accommodate locks of hair, miniature paintings or photographs.
