Splendid large and very comfortable Edwardian drop arm Chesterfield sofa c.1905. Low sprung backrest and roll-top arms over a deep sprung seat. Lifting the turned mahogany knob to the outside of the right hand arm allows it to be lowered to various positions to the horizontal on a good quality ratchet mechanism. Raised on sturdy mahogany legs front and rear with large original brass castors. Unpholstered in a soft gold/faun velvet with a rope trim. Very good condition with clean covers.
