This is a beautiful large atmospheric painting of a far eastern landscape with waterfront village buildings in the forefront. The little sailboats and hill in the background and the dark moody skies truly enhance the feeling of distance and vast open space beyond. The impasto technique is well executed by the artist and adds wonderful texture and atmosphere. The painting is signed indistinctly and dated 1974.
