Large Early 18th Century Oak Coffer Coffer Blanket Chest %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
A splendid early 18th century English oak coffer, or blanket chest, of generous proportions. Well made in the construction techniques typical for the period. The lift up top is raised on its original split-pin hinges. It has a four panel top which is raised to access the spacious interior (complete with a candle box). The three panels to the front are decorated with carved detailing. This lovely coffer is packed full of charm and character. It is offered for sale in overall very good condition but it does show some signs of wear and tear commensurate with its age.

Width 140cms
