Large late 19th.c. Chinese table screen c.1890. 21″ diameter screen with raised hexagonal centre panel decorated on one side with an Oriental design of birds inlaid in mother of pearl on a black lacquered ground. The other side has a flat wooden panel allowing it to be used as a tray. Burr walnut veneered surround and raised hardwood edge. Held on a superb hardwood stand with crescent yoke over a pierced base with carved detail, ball turnings and shaped feet repeated on both sides. Very good condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
