Superb Large Stick Stand - Victorian Cast Iron - c1870

This is an excellent example of a cast iron stick & umbrella stand from the Victorian period.

The stand is cast with wonderful floral design detail filling and arch top. A twin compartment stick holder extends to the front with lift-out tray below. To the rear a multi-octagonal pattern is formed within the casting and each side has further scroll casting to the lower portion.

The piece is finished in black.

The dimensions of the piece are large (see images) and the solid cast iron construction makes the stand pleasingly heavy. Overall an attractive and desirable example.

Suitable for use in any location - hallway, portico or outside.

It is in excellent condition throughout. There are no damages to the castings.
