This is a large antique overmantle mirror. An English, giltwood and mercury glass mirror, dating to the Regency period, circa 1820.

Superb country house appeal, with a grand proportion
Displays a desirable aged patina and good original order

Appealing original mirror plate with a desirable light foxing

Prominent crown moulding with turned and collared pilasters
Frame edge surrounded with an ebonised finish with reeded detail
Foliate decorations accentuate the frame, with patera to the upper section
Dressed to the rear with a pair of mounting loops for ease of hanging
