Offered for sale is this superb quality Edwardian mahogany telescopic dining table extending from approximately 63" x 48" to 141" x 48" with four original leaves, a comfortable 12-14 seater. The oval top has a moulded edge above a frieze with a gadrooned edge and stands on four square tapered supports with blind fret carving and carved feet with original brass castors. The table is of exceptional quality typified by the fine extending mechanism that has been made by a higly skilled cabinet maker, certainly not mass produced and works very smoothly and comes complete with winding handle. The table has been cleaned and sympathetically repolished whilst retaining its original character. It is in excellent showroom condition and dates to about 1910. Over the past 30 years we have sold over a thousand sets of chairs along with hundreds of dining tables to satisfied customers.
