A fine antique giltwood overmantle mirror dating from 1860.
Frame is highly detailed with finely executed 23.5 carat water-gilded rope and tassel decoration.
Wonderful mercury silvered mirror plate which is original. Plate has attractive overall foxing and a few fine surface scratches, plus a lovely sparkle to the silvering.
Original backing boards and ceramic bun feet.
131 cm wide at base. 110 cm main frame width. 94 cm tall.
