Large Ambergs patent filing cabinet
super quality large walnut ambergs patent letter filing cabinet.
the rolling tambour front with working lock and key opens to superb fitted interior with fifteen drawers, all with beautifully figured fronts and each opening to reveal filing mechanisms inside, complete with ambergs patent indexes, original to the cabinet and with the same registration number of 41319 as stamped on the cabinet itself.
this really is a true piece of history and still practical for use in todays office or study, the filing cabinet is very well constructed, very heavy and in good working order, it does have an associated stand included although we do not believe this to be original to the cabinet, nor is it necessary to use it.
