Very large mid 20th century African Benin bronze bust, Nigeria, c1950. This is a large well cast and heavy example weighing 4.6kg depicting the Queen mother Idia. Beautifully decorated and with great colour/patina this is a substantial and highly decorative piece of African art. Overall condition is very good with only very minor surface wear in line with age and use.
