Large 19th French Elm Farmhouse Kitchen Table
This a Large 19th French Elm Farmhouse Kitchen table comes from Brittany in the West of France
This is good honest farmhouse table and it is an unpretentious piece is aged and naturally distressed with a delightful patina, the table is un restored and in its original dark wax finish
The top of the table is made from 1” thick elm planks 3 in all and is in remarkably good condition for its age, the table has charming turned cherry wood legs
The real attraction of this table is its genuine unspoilt original country Farmhouse look, there is a slightly dark patch where the French cook must have placed a hot dish but it is full of history and character
The table is very sound as with many French pieces there are hints of wood worm, it has been treated even though it has been dead for many years
