This a Large 19th French Elm Farmhouse Kitchen table comes from Brittany in the West of France
This is good honest farmhouse table and it is an unpretentious piece is aged and naturally distressed with a delightful patina, the table legs have been painted to it give a new look
The top of the table is made from 1” thick elm planks 3 in all and is in remarkably good condition for its age, the table has sturdy slightly tapering legs
The real attraction of this table is its genuine rustic country Farmhouse look, there is a slightly dark patch in one corner where the French cook must have served dinner from her hot pot
The table is very sound as with many French pieces there are hints of wood worm it has been treated even though it has been dead for many years
