Large 19th C Japanese Satsuma Vase
Lovely quality 19th Century Japanese satsuma vase with raised enamels and golds. Several scenes around the body of the vase, one of a dancing samauri with mountains in the background,one a family scene with geese flying above, one of robed men taking tea and a family scene. The whole vase is decorated with bright enamels in pinks, reds, greens and yellows with the neck having flowering chrysanthamums.
Measuring 13 inches in height with maximum body width being 11 inches. In very good condition, there are three small hairlines on the rim of the base. Overall a nice quality piece for any collector.
