Antique large 19C carved walnut, part ebonised sideboard, cupboard or chiffonier ~8'6".

Likely to have European continent origins.

It is so rare to find one of these with such a large and imposing width (fortunately it splits into two halves).

This is a very large attractive item, that would look great in the right location, with a lovely age and colour.

Great proportions and traditional French styling... a great look.

Historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, chips, repairs and alterations, as is always the way with antique furniture. This item has had some significant alterations over the years, although it is unclear exactly what these have been. The top and two of the four sides, appear to be a later veneered plywood, but it has been very well done and is a good colour match.

There is quite a lot of historic woodworm holes on this piece, including the carved components on the front. It all appears extinct and has been treated again for good measure. In a way, it adds to the character, charm and authenticity.

Please note that this item is very large and heavy. Please make sure before buying that it will fit in and can be maneuvered into the room that it is intended for. The customer will need to provide 1 strong able bodied person for our driver to assist with carrying.
