This is a large and heavy mid 18th century Chinese bowl that's had a very chequered career. It was at one time in two halves and one of those was in several pieces. It is now solid, very presentable and usable. Looking down on the bowl the repair is barely visible, a thin white line here and there but you have to look for it. Rather more visible on the outside, the bowl can still be positioned so no repairs can be seen. At more than 250 years old this venerable big beast deserves its place in the world.
