A large and impressive 18th century carved walnut commode. Of gentle serpentine form and well constructed in solid walnut. With an arrangement of 3 short over 3 long graduated drawers, fitted with their original solid brass handles. The drawer linings originally fitted "front to back" , in pine . All standing on ogee bracket feet. The drawer fronts, sides and feet are all embellished with crisp and deeply carved decorations. All drawers fitted with original locks, mostly working with key supplied. There is an old patch to the top which can be seen in the photos. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops and now offered for sale in excellent condition with a rich colour and patina.
