This is a beautiful portrait of the charismatic Ruskin in old age showing Barbers unique style of portraiture. Born in Ulverston, Cumbria, Reginald Barber was a genre and portrait painter. He lived in Manchester and exhibited at the Royal Academy, a pupil was the young LS Lowry. Barbers work can be seen in collections and museums throughout the world.
