Description: Antique oil painting on canvas with contemporary frame belonging to the early 19th century.

The central scene enclosed in a rectangle is surrounded by a grotesque painting in vogue immediately after the discovery of the excavations of Herculaneum and Pompeii.

The main scene portrays the classic house of the time with a family inside watching an eagle and a peacock playing.

Conditions: To be restored.

Provenance: Naples, early 19th century.
