A good 19th.C. Italian walnut Cassone in the 18th.C. style and of double breakfront form. The front panels having deep carved scrolls and leaves with large oval cartouches. The stiles having grotesque masks and further scroll decoration. The panelled top having a carved and moulded edge which lifts to reveal a large storage area. The whole with subtle carved decoration throughout and complete with working lock and key. Dimensions:- Height…20.25’’/ 51.5cm. Width…61’’/ 155cm. Depth…22.25’’/ 56.5cm. ALL TRADE ENQUIRIES WELCOME.
