Huge 12 foot 4 long Georgian mahogany dining table Georgian Scottish extending %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
Fine large size Georgian Scottish mahogany extending pedestal dining table in the manner of Trotter of Edinburgh. 12 foot 4" long overall by 54" wide.

Typical early 19th century Scottish pedestal bases with the bearer mechanism extending from both pedestals which is bolted together in the middle along with a seperate reeded leg which also fits and bolts on in the middle to help support the table in the centre.

The table comes with three of the original leaves plus one slightly smaller added one. The timber on the original leaves matches perfectly with the ends for grain pattern etc.

Even at over 12 foot long there is still enough room in the mechanism for another leaf.

The table has been sympathetically re-polished on the tops and is a lovely mellow colour. One huge advantage with this table is, there are no legs in the way anywhere for getting chairs tucked in when not in use and for comfort when using.

The table stands 28 1/2" high.
