This is a very decorative Hispano Moresque jar dating from the late 1700s. The baluster form jar has four looped handles and is prettily hand painted with stylised foliate motifs in a strong pink lustre glaze. This characterful jar does have a little wear to the rim and the foot (see photos) but is otherwise intact and in good order bearing in mind its substantial age, in excess of 200 years.
The jar stands 14 cms high and is one of a collection of four which we currently have listed.
