High leg Georgian pad foot stool
Fabulous Georgian mahogany pad foot centre stool of grand proportions, fully refurbished internally and reupholstered in this jacquard tartan plaid and finished with brass studs to the corners.
This is a great piece to use as a central coffee table if you place a butlers tray on top to hold drinks etc, then leaving you with a lot of space to perch on or to put your feet up. Or this would also work as a centre piece for a large hall perhaps too.
This is a very strong and solid frame, so it will easily cope with holding three or four adults sitting on it for additional seating if required.
The stool has these very elegant mahogany pad feet with scallop shell carving and a wonderful rich colour tone, finished with a beeswax.
Newly upholstered in a good quality jacquard so it will cope with being used as a seating piece, also very decorative and of an unusually large size.
Measuring:
21 inches or 53 cm high
50 1/2 inches for 128.5 cm wide
31 1/2 inches or 80 cm deep Based in Uppingham, Rutland…having been in the business for 25 years focusing on mostly French and English decorative antiques and interiors from the 18th to the early 20th century, hopefully a collection you will enjoy browsing and hopefully re home some of my finds!
