One of the best desks we have had in stock, made in mahogany with a beautiful patina and colour, made in the "Chippendale Revival" taste, it has the "famous" Maple & Co inside the drawer and all locks are stamped by Hobb's & Co of London.
It is in superb condition with original ornate brass handles and an antiques leather insert to the writing surface. The corners are canted in typical Chippendale blind fret taste.

It stands on Ball & Claw feet with carved gadrooning to the breakfront top and the base, this has probably been made bespoke for a customer with some style.
