A stunning tureen and cover with plate stand designed by Graham Sutherland for the 1934 Art in Industry and Harrods exhibitions. Other exhibitors included Paul Nash, Laura Knight, Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant. Designs for earthenware were produced by Clarice Cliff, bone china by Foley and glass by Stuart & Sons. A rare piece in fantastic condition.

For complete accuracy there are a couple of very light crazing areas on the tureen. A couple of minor scratches on the base plate and some dark pitted honeyglaze on the inside rim of the lid.
