A Gothic / Medieval revival carved oak joint stool. The oblong shaped features gadroon carved edge. Raised on twin splayed trestles with relief carved crosses in ovals on the outer faces, the feet separated by carved arches. Supported by carved stretcher, with row of carved crosses in circular rings across both faces, the top with adzed finish. The through tenons are secured by wedges with carved cross handles. This superb stool is constructed in only the highest quality English oak, and has wonderful figuring throughout.

Made around the middle of the c.20th, in gothic or medieval taste.

A traditional stool, full of charm and character. In good condition and ready for use.
