Splendid late 19th.c. Gothic walnut dressing stool c.1880. Curving X frame stool in solid walnut with the raised ends of the frame very well carved with Gothic dogs heads to both sides. With a padded seat upholstered in a woven tapestry style fabric. Acanthus leaf carving to the legs over large paw feet. Legs are joined with turned and carved stretchers for strength. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
