Gorgeous Welsh Farmhouse Pine Box Settle c1870
A beautiful Welsh Box Settle of stunning traditional form and desirable size c1870. Constructed from beautiful quality pine with a strong and sturdy frame.
In exceptional original condition with lovely nutty colour and wonderful grain. Having a gently sloping back and comfortable seat height. The seat opening into a box base offering superb storage. With full provenance from the lower Teifi Valley.
A much sought after piece of Welsh country antique furniture this settle is both strong and stable and suitable for daily use.
We at Welsh Vernacular are renowned for the quality of the settles we sell, they are highly practical items and look as well in a hall or kitchen as they do in a living room or conservatory. We often sell them to people looking for attractive storage solutions as well as seating, they are great for storing away items such as wellingtons and walking boots or your firelighters and kindling for the stove, horse riding tack, painting and decorating and odd job items that may freeze or perish if left in an outbuilding.
Both practical and comfortable these antique pieces could not be more suited to modern requirements.
