Good Quality Rosewood Metamorphic Reading Table
Good quality Victorian rosewood double sided reading table. The unusual mechanism allows the top to move slide to sit over a bed or chair. The height is adjustable via a turned rosewood knob and the 2 reading slopes retain the original book rests and angle adjustments. The base having hexagonal shaped column leading to a shaped platform with turned bun feet with hidden casters. The sliding top lends this table for other uses when not reading. Condition- Original and good with 1or two bumps and bruises associated with age and use, unusual to constructed in rosewood. Dimensions:- Width… 36’’/ 91.5cm.Depth…17.75”/ 45cm.
