A very unusual and decorative console table in giltwood and gesso and featuring two kneeling figures supporting a green marble top. With leaf carved mouldings to the top and base and a mirrored back and designed to stand at the side of a room or in a hall. In overall good condition it does have piece of moulding missing from the top at the right angled corner, there is some craquelure to the finish on the figures and drying lines. The gilded finish appears to have been toned down by a darker stain on top.
