Stunning Gilt Screen - With Centre Pane - c1850
A very attractive Victorian period French screen with triple panels presented in good condition. The gilt wood frame is in strong condition and the piece stands sturdily.

Twin serpentine side panels flank the central master panel which has additional interest created by an oval window complete with original glass.

The screen benefits from wonderful gilt gesso detailing with fine foliate swags to the outer panels and a pleasing moulded edge throughout.

Panels can be moved/folded without restriction due to the tri-fold hinges present.

The screens are upholstered with a quality textile.

Overall a lovely display item with scope to be used in a variety of locations. The screen is an unusual example and offers terrific character and chic charm.
