fine quality mahogany writing / library table attributed to Gillows of Lancaster with the unusual feature of having two pull out leaves.
the frieze fitted with a large drawer to each end along with two dummy drawer fronts, raised on turned legs fitted with brass caps and castors.
the top has marks / scuffs commensurate with age and use but overall this is an extremely good quality table and although not stamped, it certainly has all the attributes one would expect from such an excellent maker with a very pleasing colour and patina.
