Late 19th.c. overmantle mirror c.1880. Unusual bell shape with flat bottom edge to sit over a fireplace or piece of antique furniture perhaps. Original 38″ x 34″ mirror plate within a wooden frame carved with a twist pattern. Original gilding heavily worn through to reveal the alternatively light and dark red stained ground below. Minor tarnish to the mirror plate and obvious wear to the frame. Otherwise good condition with original backboards.
