Early 20th.c. gilded chaise longue or daybed c.1910. Unusual design and supremely comfortable. Curved and upholstered chair back with arms over a long seat with a thick feather-fillled cushion. Shapely carved and gilded wooden frame with scrolling acanthus leaves to the arms. Shaped apron and legs with floral detail and scrolling feet. Upholstered in a pale silk damask with a large vine and grape pattern. Very good condition, later gilding and clean covers.
Dimensions: width 31″, length 62″, height 35″.
