Late 18th century country ladderback open armchair. Typical of chairs attributed to the Lancashire area, it has turned uprights, with domed and nipple finials, united by wavy line stretchers. A handsome chair, it has been recently rushed and is good and firm. The feet have been built up by about 16cm some time ago (please see photograph). Circa 1800.
