Stunning Georgian walnut chest on stand in excellent condition. The chest separates into 2 sections which allows for easy transportation in and around your home. The top section with flared cornice and reeded canted corners, has three short drawers above three long graduating drawers. Its stand houses an additional long deep drawers and has a beautifully shaped apron with carved legs to the front terminating on stunning claw and ball feet and square legs to the back. All the drawers run smoothly , constructed hand dovetail joints and have attractive brass handles and escutcheons. Like all antique furniture there are some imperfections however these only add to the charm of this striking example of period antique furniture offering a lot of storage space and history to any home.
