Georgian Rosewood Writing Desk Side Dressing Table
Antique Georgian or Regency 19C rosewood writing desk or dressing table.
This is a lovely piece, that is full of age, charm and character.
Solid with no loose joints.
The oak and mahogany lined drawers slide freely (some internal staining as one would expect).
An attractive piece, with period brass castors (some wear).
Quite rare and would look great in the right location!
Overall maximum dimensions 94cmW x 49cmD (plus knobs) x 94cmH (76cmH writing surface, 61cm high knee hole).
Historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, wear, imperfections, repairs and alterations, as is always the way and to be expected with genuine antique furniture. There is a little historical distortion and some structural repairs, but all is solid and strong now. There are no keys and the locks are untested. One dissimilar handle. There are some historical woodworm holes, believed extinct, that we have treated for good measure. Also, some veneer imperfections and repairs as one would expect.
