Georgian oak chest of drawers on stand c.1800. Top section with two short drawers over three long drawers of graduated depth, on a stand with three small drawers. Solid oak drawer fronts with mahogany crossbanded and cockbeaded edges and original brass handles with pierced backplates. Moulded cornice and waist trim. Attractively shaped cupid’s bow apron to the base, continued on the sides and raised on elegantly shaped cabriole legs front and rear with pointed pad feet. Solid oak carcass, note the unusual exposed dovetails on the corners of the base, elm backboards. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
