Georgian Oak Chest Of Drawers With Brushing Slide
Lovely quality and condition Georgian oak chest of drawers with original brushing slide with a newly fitted green baize.
The chest is a 2 over 3 configuration with graduating drawers, so although this is a well proportioned mid size chest, you get a lot of useful storage without the proportions being compromised.
All drawers are oak lined and all are running very well, fitted with solid brass swan neck handles.
Good consistent mid oak colour tone and has a lovely beeswaxed finish.
Some typical age marks as you would expect but nothing major and all adds to the character for a 200+ year old piece of antique furniture.
Measuring:
38 1/2 inches or 98 cm high
37 1/4 inches or 94.5 cm wide
22 inches or 56 cm deep
13 3/4 inches or 35 cm brushing slide depth Based in Uppingham, Rutland…having been in the business for 25 years focusing on mostly French and English decorative antiques and interiors from the 18th to the early 20th century, hopefully a collection you will enjoy browsing and hopefully re home some of my finds!
Viewing here in Uppingham is very welcome in my spacious barn studio but also I have a showroom based within the Uppingham Antiques Centre, which is well worth a visit and have a good lunch in town too!
