Here is an a lovely antique English Georgian oak pot board dresser base, displaying a rich oxblood colour, circa 1780, in good condition.

Description:
Here is a lovely quality antique English Georgian oak pot board dresser base, displaying a rich oxblood colour, circa 1780, in good condition. With narrow proportions, it would be ideal for hallways. The dresser incorporates an ovolo moulded oak top, with three working drawers, above an ornate shaped frieze. The drawer fronts are decorated with fine moulded edges and feature old replacement brass swan neck handles and escutcheons. The drawers incorporate pine linings, constructed with hand dovetail joints. The base is raised on six solid block legs, united by a pot-board base below, where the planks run front to back. The dresser has been constructed in the traditional method using the joined peg construction method.
The dresser features a superb rich mid brown oak colour. It has a lovely colour and patination this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.
The dresser would look superb in any hallway, kitchen or dining room. This item would certainly grace any home and is a great investment as it is extremely functional.
Condition Report:
The dresser is in good condition, which is commensurate with its age. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges, including inside of drawers, but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The drawer fronts feature old replacement brass swan neck handles and escutcheons (most likely Victorian). The drawers retain their original hand dovetailed drawer linings. The dresser is raised on its original legs and pot-board. The dresser has been cleaned and French polished in our workshops. The dresser boasts a fantastic rich oak colour and patination this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received. The dresser is well constructed, solid in joint with no loose movements and is ready to be used.

Delivery times are usually 1-4 weeks depending on location we aim to deliver the majority of items within 2 weeks. All items are professionally packaged and fully insured in transit, therefore, we can assure you, your items will be securely protected in transit and arrive safely with you.
Once you have purchased an item, we will contact you be email and/or telephone and provide you with a provisional delivery date, in order for you to confirm if it is suitable for you. Once you have confirmed you can accept delivery on the provisional delivery date, we will book the delivery in with our shippers and it then becomes a confirmed delivery date.

For any large items that require 2 people to lift the item, we ask that you are available at the time of delivery to be able to give our shipper a lift off the van and into your house with the item. A free 14-day “no quibble” returns policy (from the date you receive the item) is available if you are not happy with this item.
