Antique quality Georgian / Regency mahogany secretaire bookcase C1800-1830 with built in desk / writing table. We have keys.
This is a lovely quality item, that is full of age, charm and character. A very decorative piece that a tremendous amount of work went into.
Solid with no loose joints. One of the best that you will find without OTT restoration.
Great age and patina (the best). Splits into 3 parts for transport (106cmH base, 114cmH top, 13cmH cornice).
Overall maximum dimensions: 113cmW x 55cmD x 233cmH, 97cmW x 41cmD x 81cmH writing surface. Adjustable shelves 100cm x 30cm in the top press slides 100cmW x 46cmD in the bottom).
Good antique condition with minor historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, wear, imperfections, repairs and alterations, as is to be expected with genuine antique furniture. Some historic extinct woodworm holes (mainly in the back, so not visible) that have been treated for good measure. Some minor trim imperfections and part of the skirt of one drawer handle is missing.
Please note that this item is large and heavy. Please make sure before buying that it will fit in and can be maneuvered into the room that it is intended for (check ceiling height as well). The customer will need to provide 1 strong able bodied person for our driver to assist with carrying.
