A lovely antique mahogany washstand. We date this washstand to the early 19th century.

The washstand sits on slightly protruding square section legs and has a bow front design.

The table top has a removable panel and when lifted it reveals the area that would have held the wash bowl and accessories.

The lower tier has a central drawer fitted with a small brass handle with two dummy side drawers.

The base has a stretcher with a small central tray.

The stand has an overall height of 38.5" (98cm) including gallery, a table top height of 32.5” (83cm), a width of 21" (54cm) and a depth at the base of 17.5" (44cm).

This attractive mahogany washstand remains in very good solid condition with only very minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage including marks on some of the edges.

This remains a very stylish & elegant mahogany wash stand. It could serve well as either a washstand or as a corner table. It will continue to provide sterling service for many years to come.
