This attractive antique late Georgian mahogany chest of drawers dates from approx. 1830. It is of a good rich colour and an attractive design. The chest consists of two small drawers over three longer drawers that are graduated in size. The drawers have nice replacement brass handles. The chest is supported on shaped ogee bracket feet. There is some wear and scuffing to the woodwork as might be expected, and the chest is overall a little faded. There is some wear to the cock beading around the drawers. The top long drawer front has a couple of heavy gouges in the wood. The top has some indentations and some wood shrinkage cracking. There is also some wood shrinkage cracking to the sides. There is an area of loose veneer to the right-hand side at the front edge. Item code as527a031 / 4054 Status Sold
