Regency period (1811-1820) mahogany bow fronted chest of drawers. This classic chest of drawers design is of excellent proportions with a striking grain pattern and figure, with desirable original turned wooden handles

It has very nicely figured mahogany veneers (possibly Cuban), with a cross banded top front edge and a well shaped apron with elegant splayed bracket feet.

The graduated drawers all have cockbeading, solid oak sides and bases and dovetailed joints. The drawers are a good size for storage of lots of clothes. All the drawers are clean and run smoothly.

Its has recently been professionally restored and french polished, while still retaining evidence of its age.

As with pieces of this age, there is historical damage which has been repaired, included a spilt to the top, and a broken rear left foot, and various small veneer repairs.
