Excellent George ll Corner Cabinet - Fine Inlay - c1750
This cabinet is a stunning example displaying excellent veneer and inlay work.
A quality example with deep colour and richness across the cabinet.
The cabinet benefits from finely detailed inlay throughout the piece. A checker edged central oval flame mahogany veneer to the door is bordered by a cross-banded double detailed perimeter showing exquisite wave-sided internal corner quarters. Yet more fine inlay and stringing appears across the sides and top of the structure. Delicate flowers, conch shell motifs, and a central upper plant form deliver a splendid overall antique of interest.
A swan-neck arch pediment to the crown is completed with flower head capping.
The door opens to reveal a trio of shelves and a clean interior.
Overall a really super example of a George II English Oak corner cabinet and a rare find.
